Revolut
Revolut offers several different account tiers to customers in New Zealand, which all have varying fees and exchange rate options for international transfers. All accounts have some currency exchange monthly which uses the Revolut rate Monday to Friday, before adding any additional fees.
Once you exceed your plan limit or at a weekend you may pay more.
Outward payment limits are not stated, but if you ever run into a limit you’ll be notified in the Revolut app.
Similarly there’s no limit on the value of transfers you can receive to Revolut – but annual caps on the amount you can hold in your account may mean very large payments are unavailable.

In the past Remitly had a tiered sending limit process which means you could qualify for a higher limit by completing certain verification actions.

However, if you have not yet been set up with the new Remitly NZD payment limit you may be able to increase your Remitly transfer limit by checking and updating information about yourself and your payments, and providing some additional ID and address documents.

To increase your Remitly limit you may be asked to give Remitly some more information about how you use their services, or provide additional documents such as:

How to receive large international transfers with Remitly 📥
🌍 If you’re based in New Zealand and receiving a payment through Remitly it’ll be deposited into your bank account. Remitly does not offer a holding account of its own, and New Zealand customers can not receive payments as cash or to mobile wallets.
⚠️ Before receiving a payment to your bank through Remitly, you’ll need to pass the sender your full name and account number and the relevant SWIFT code. SWIFT codes may vary so check yours online or in a branch before the payment is sent.
